Q. Where Is Caye Caulker?

A. Caye Caulker is a small island located North East from Belize City in Central America. We are a 45 minute boat ride from Belize City, or just 5-10 minutes away on an airplane.

Q. How can I arrive to Caye Caulker?

A. Option 1: You have an option of taking an aircraft to get here, which can be arranged either from the International Airport or in Belize City. Tropic Air or Maya Island Air flies to Caye Caulker. We are agents for Tropic Air so we can arrange your flight to the island. It is approximately 10 minutes or less to arrive to Caye Caulker.
Option 2: Taking a Water Taxi Boat Ride. There are two water taxi terminals located in the down town area of Belize City. Caye Caulker Water Taxi and Belize- San Pedro Express. They both run daily to Caye Caulker between the hours of 8am and 5:30 PM. Either water taxis takes 45 minutes to arrive on the island.

Q. Where Is Caye Caulker Plaza Hotel? Is it far from the water taxi pier or airline that I take?

A. Caye Caulker Plaza Hotel is located in the heart of Caye Caulker, we have easy access to supermarkets, bank/ATMS, gift shops, and restaurants. We are only a 2 minute walk from the water taxi pier and a 15 minute walk from the airstrip. There are taxis at the water taxi pier and airstrip that charge USD$2.50/person.

Q: Can your hotel hold groups?

A: Caye Caulker plaza Hotel has 32 spacious rooms within 3 floors. The number of people we can hold depends on the number of people staying in one room.

Q. How do I view my hotel reservations online and can it be modified if my travel plans have changed?

A. Yes, when your reservation has been confirmed, you will receive a code via email (only). View the instructions in that email.
Reservations can be changed with proper notice only. Please view our cancellation policy.

Q: Do I need a credit card to make a hotel room reservation?

A: You need a Mastercard or Visa to make payments by credit card. We accept bank transfers if you are booking your stay at least 1 month in advance. Unless payment has been made, we may void your reservation to accommodate spacing.

Q: Is your online reservation process secure to protect my personal and credit card information?

A: We do our best to keep your information confidential. We ask if you don't feel safe using our website, you can fax us a copy of your credit card and call our office and we can process the payments over the phone.

Q: Can more than one person stay in one room?

A: All our rooms are double occupancy. We allow only a maximum of two extra persons to a room, with a charge of USD$15 for each extra occupant(per night). More than 4 occupants would have to be accommodated in another room and pay the rate of the room.

Q: Are you on the beach?

A: We are not located on the beach, but it is not far away either. We are located in the center of the island in the area where shops, restaurants as well as golf cart rental and the bank can be found. The beach is a five minute walk East (to the reef side) or 5 minutes walk West (towards the lagoon).

Q: How far away is the Hotel from the arrival location?

A: If you are arriving from the watertaxi we are about a 2 min walk. If you are coming from the airstrip we are about a 15 min walk.
In both cases there are always taxis waiting to assist you.
